Bob Colbert
November 14, 1937 — May 7, 2017
Bob Colbert, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away May 7, 2017, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Jody Colbert; beloved son of the late Raymond and Colleen Colbert; devoted father of Melissa Lewis; cherished grandfather of Nicholas Lewis and Madeline Lewis; dear brother of Dennis (Anita) Colbert. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Yvonne Baughn, Betty Smithe, and Mark Colbert.
Bob retired from McDonnell Douglas/Boeing after more than 40 years building fighter jet airplanes. He loved his grandchildren dearly. He liked spending time outdoors, and riding his ’83 Electric Glyde Harley. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, and going on cruises. Bob played baseball and coached his daughter’s softball team. He was a faithful St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan who never missed a game. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
