Barbara (Modglin) Prinster was born and raised in Anna, IL. She attended Anna-Jonesboro High where she made many lifelong friends that she still kept in contact with. Barbara loved her home town. She remained in Anna, IL, until she met her Prince Charming, Paul Prinster, was married, and moved to O'Fallon, MO, where they raised 5 children.
Barbara retired from the Fort Zumwalt school district after 25 years in food service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dardenne Prairie for 55 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #2273 and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree ladies auxiliary of St. Philippine Duchesne #571.
Barbara was an amazing lady with a beautiful soul. She had a heart of gold and will be remembered for her loving spirit, big smile, great stories and contagious laughter. Even when she was fighting through her health issues, Barbara always made light of it and didn’t let it slow her down. She always fought and got back up with her loving husband right by her side. Barbara loved spending time with her friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. Most importantly, Barbara dearly loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She was always her children and grandchildren’s number one fan. She will always be remembered for how big she loved and how big she was loved.
Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s honor to St. Luke's Hospital or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dardenne Prairie.
