Anthony S. Grayek, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Frances Grayek; cherished son of the late Anthony and Lottie Grayek; devoted father of Toni Froeschner, Michael (Joann) Grayek, Gregory (Robin) Grayek, Steve (Leslie) Grayek, Anthony Grayek, and foster son David Grady; loving grandfather of Erich (Christina) Froeschner, Jacob Froeschner, Anna (Paul) Sievers, Kyle (Chelsea Welsh) Grayek, Brendan (Shannon) Grayek, Emily Grayek, Lauren Grayek, Sarah Grayek, Jessica Grayek, and Jeremy Grayek; treasured great-grandfather of Caden Grayek, Aubrey Sievers and Silas Froeschner; dear brother of Doris (Robert) Buechler.
He is also preceded in death by his dear son-in-law, Neal Froeschner.
Anthony proudly and honorably served his Country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was a parishioner at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. In his free time, Anthony enjoyed fishing, bowling, and watching old movies. When his boys were young, he coached their soccer teams at St. John and St. James Parish in Ferguson, and he loved sports of all kinds, especially Blues Hockey. Anthony is fondly remembered by his family as a “gentle giant”, a big man with a gentle heart.
Anthony was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
