Adele "Tutu" Cross of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at the age of 93 on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Tutu was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. Cross; her parents, John and Ida Wissmann; her grandson, Jim Hartman; and her brothers, Clarence Wissmann, Marvin Wissmann, Alfred Wissmann.

She is survived by her children, Pam Strecker, David Cross, Jana (Ron) Meecey; her grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney) Strecker, Lindsay (Derek) Filcoff, Amanda (Ryan) Davenport, William Cross, Connor Cross, Caroline Cross, Kimberly Meecey, Nathan Meecey; her great-grandchildren, Ella & Liam Strecker, and Madison, Ava, and Connor Davenport; and she was a loving aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend.

Tutu was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson and treasured her church community there. She was a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and though she loved to watch their games, she loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events even more. Above everything, Tutu loved her family and cherished the memories they all made together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Tutu’s name may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Ferguson.

    Pam, Dave and Jana – So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I heard over the years that she had dementia. Will never forget the wonderful memories of Kentucky Lake with our families. Praying for peace and comfort for all of you.
