Tackaberry, Dean, of Saint Charles, MO, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Kathy Tackaberry; cherished son of Wilbur Tackaberry and the late Alta Marie Caldwell; devoted father of Missy (Scott) Jones and Mandy (Chad) McBride; loving grandfather of Olivia, Owen, and baby Jones; dear brother of Carolyn (Roger) Dieckgrafe, Victoria (Dave) Bracci, and Marc (Donna) Tackaberry; and cherished son-in-law of Sonny & Annie O'Hearn. He is also survived by his beloved pugs, Nick and Noelle.=

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jacquelyn Fette and Tina Marie Tackaberry.

Dean was a very hardworking man who enjoyed building things out of wood. He loved being outdoors, especially if it included camping, barbecuing, fishing, or hunting. He also enjoyed spending time at the river. Dean’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made to PKD Foundation.

What a great man and worker Dean was. He was always the guy I requested when I needed something done at my house. Always in a good mood, always happy and always had good things to say about his family….. oh and we should say something about that man’s smile! Dean, may you rest in peace and know that your great family will gain strength from each other and get themselves through this. With fond memories, Julie and Larry Graziano

Doggone it Dean, what are you doing? We need you.

Dean was with Property Support Services since 2005 and was one of the best employees we have ever had, as anyone knows, who may have worked with him. The outstanding quality of his work effort & output found him on the most difficult, highest priority assignments every week. The sudden unexpectedness of his departure reminds us all, of the importance of making today count, as Dean always did, bringing genuine cheerfulness & powerful effort.

Our hearts go out to Dean’s family & friends, all whom have experienced a great loss.

candle 6My condolences to the Tackaberry and O’Hearn family. Dean was one of a kind. I have known him for 31 years and never seen him without a smile on his face. He was such a happy, fun loving guy. Most of the time when I seen him he had grilling utensils in his hand. Dean loved being outside. May the families find peace. Love to all of you.

I’m so sorry for your loss, and send my condolences. This is one of the hardest times in a family’s life, always know that others care. Most important God cares. He has promised a time when he will “swallow up death forever and he will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) Praying for your family, and praying you will find comfort in this promise.

    candle 2Kathy, Missy and Mandy,

I can not begin to tell you how much I hurt for you ladies. Dean was an amazing man. Never hesitated to give me a big ole hug everytime I saw him. He took such good care of my baby brother like he was his own and I am forever greatful for him. Watching him interact with Liv and Owen was priceless as you could see the love he had for them. My prayers are truly with you girls through this awful time.

Sometimes there are people that come into your life that teach you important life lessons and you didn’t even know you were being taught. I think Dean is one of those people. His ability to enjoy the moment, enjoy family and friends and make everyone else enjoy themselves and feel welcomed is a remarkable and rare trait that I will always remember and admire.. And from here on out I am going to make it a goal to be more like him. He definitely left an impact on all of those he ever met.

Just wanted to say, I never got much time with you. The time I do remember. I could always count on you smiling and being happy. Because of this when I would think of my brother Ernie I would think of you. I know that you will be greatly missed. I know you were and are well loved. May you rest in peace.

Hi Dean! I keep logging on to this website, just so I can see your cute face! I miss you….will you please come home! This isn’t fair at all, and I know we are not suppose to question the big guy, but I’m sure you are having a “serious conversation” with him as I write this. I saw your lovely bride, Kathy yesterday. She is as beautiful as ever but, something is terribly missing with you not by her side. You would be so proud of your girls, Missy and Mandy took such good care of Kathy while we saw your cute face for the last time here on earth. But, Dean, they are completely lost without you! Are you sure you can’t come back, even just for “one more day”? Your baby Liv said she looked up into the sky and said Papa waved to her! Wow! Please keep visiting her, and Owen too! They are going to need you to still push them on their swing set and pull their handle to their wagon wheels. I promise to play with them every chance I get. I will always look after Kathy and your girls. Kathy gave me one of your flannel shirts, I can’t seem to part with it and I know you always told me to dress like a girl not like a boy, remember my ball cap and flannel shirt phase…lol, finally I put on a dress and used lip stick and I won’t ever forget how that made you smile so big! Anyways, I might have to wear that flannel more than you would prefer me to. Oh Dean! Just call me ok and let me know you are ok. This writing in your obituary guest book is BS!! I am going to pretend its not happening right now because that seems to be the only thing that is going to keep me going. I love you. See what you can do about coming back……your baby sister, Vickie
