Goellner, William C. “Bill”
Passed away on May 26, 2017. Preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Goellner (nee: Hammett).
Survived by children, Chris (Jennifer) Goellner, Lara (Tom) Goellner Boarman, Kelly (Rick) Borgmeyer Daleen, Jack (Anita) Borgmeyer; grandchildren Drew, Paige, Jackson, Emma, Sierra, Bennett and Parker; dear sister Mary (Jack) Goellner Meier, sister in law Dawn (Mark) Bowers, many cousins and friends.
Bill served as a US Senate Page at age 16 and was a Tech Sgt. with the Air National Guard 131st Tactical Fighter Wing. At twenty-two was elected to three terms as Public Administrator of St. Charles County. In 1967, he joined his parents Clarence and Teenie, along with his father’s twin Glennon and wife Erlene, at Goellner Printing, Inc. Bill was an officer of the Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, Crossroad Development, Historical Society, South Main Preservation Society, and City Landmark’s Board.
Bill was a historian. His hobbies and interest included lifetime support of the Democrat party, joining friends at a bar, traveling, reading, golfing, gardening, and sharing time with family and friends. His greatest passion was the preservation and success of Main Street, St. Charles and the friends he found there.
