Britton, William “Bud”, born on September 23, 1934, of O’Fallon, MO, passed Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Sheila Britton; cherished son of the late Earnest and Harriett Britton; devoted father of Vince (Suzy) Britton, Terry Lewis, David Britton, Stacey (Bob) Busch, and step-father of Bob Koenig, A.J. (Lori) Koenig, Jim (Jean) Koenig, and Mary (Jim) Orth; grandfather of eleven; great-grandfather of eight; and great-great grandfather of two; brother of Dorothy Ingle and Joe (Beth) Britton.
William was also preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Davis, and sisters: Jean Badgley, Elizabeth Fleet, and brothers Jerry Britton, and John Britton.
He was retired after a 35 year career with the Container Corporation of America(CCA). He was also the former owner of The Carriage House in Warrenton. Bud was an accomplished bowler, enjoyed the horse races and float trips. He was also a dear mentor to many. Bud’s day didn’t end until he finished his newspapers and word puzzles. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
