Walter F. Johnson

Walter F. Johnson, of O’Fallon, MO, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, age 82. Loving husband of 42 years to the late Martha Johnson; beloved son of the late Walter Carl and Anna Johnson; devoted father of Jayne (Bud) Bauer, Barbara (the late Tom) Widel, Susan (Chris) Jennings, and Marcia (Douglas) Messner; he was also preceded in death by his dearest second wife, Gloria Johnson. Also survived by step-children Kenny Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Keith Johnson; brother Bob (Judy) Johnson; grandchildren Raymond, IV, Eric (Crystine), Tommy (Jessica), Phillip (Chrissy), Meghan (Misael), Joseph (Callie), Sarah, and Danielle; great-grandchildren Lucas, Brooklyn, Owen, Levi, and three on the way; siblings-in-law Michael (Judy) Earickson and Elaine (the late David) Newburg.  He was Preceded in death by his two brothers, Don Johnson and Carl (Rose) Johnson and sister, Jeri (Bob) Tabers.

Walter proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an active volunteer for many years at the Siteman Cancer Center.  He participated in Volksmarch sponsored walks.  Walter was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
