W. Joyce Pemberton

W. Joyce Pemberton (nee Hays), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Arthur L. Pemberton; cherished daughter of the late William and Winnie V. (nee Redburn) Hays; devoted mother of Sherri Apicella and Timothy Pemberton; loving grandmother of Alexandra and Julianna Apicella and Timothy Pemberton II.

Joyce loved traveling, crafts, and movies. She is remembered as being very generous and was always looking at ways that she could serve others. She spent a lot of her time making fleece blankets to donate to hospitals and veterans.  She loved to watch Cardinals baseball. Joyce was a member of the Bridgeton OES and was very involved in her church, volunteering her time with the Vacation Bible School, pageants, and other outreach programs. She enjoyed entertaining and having her friends over. She loved spending time with her family, especially every 4th of July which happened to be her favorite holiday. Joyce was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Joyce’s name may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
