Uhl, Vernon L. of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the age of 76. Beloved husband for 46 years to Song Hul; cherished son of the late Roy V. and Roberta Uhl; devoted father of Diane (Karl) Mehu and Roy L. (Alicia) Uhl; loving grandfather of Khristian, Julianna, Alex, Camden, Parker, and Nixon; and dear brother of Dennis Uhl, the late Larry Uhl, and the late Don Uhl.
Vernon proudly served in the United States Navy for more than 27 years and retired as an E8 Senior Chief. He enjoyed being outside, either doing yard-work or fishing. In his spare moments, he liked to visit Montelle Winery, entertain breakfast with friends, or cheer on KU Basketball. Vernon was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
