Verna Shryock

Verna Shryock of Bourbon, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, July 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Shryock; her children, Bruce Dale Shryock, Ricky Shryock, Barbra Shryock, and Steven Shryock; her parents, Ellis and Gussie Ruh; and her sisters, Velma Wampler, Lela Wampler, and Wilma Schmidt.

She is survived by her children, Paulette (Jerry) Davis, Judy (Cecil) Ward, Alice (Victor) English, John Shryock, Terry Shryock, Mark (Debbie) Shryock, Gary (Kim) Shryock, Danny (Christene) Shryock, and Tony (April) Shryock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Verna loved to pass the time playing games, especially cards, dice, and bingo, with friends and family. Embroidery was a special talent of hers and she made many lovely creations over the years. Verna loved to cook and prepare meals with baking fudge, divinity, and apple pies being her specialties. Above everything, Verna was a fantastic mother and grandmother who cherished her family and the memories she made with them. She will be dearly missed.
