Thomas C. Roemer, Jr of Saint Charles, MO, died on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of Phyllis G. Roemer (Voyles) for 65 years; beloved son of the late Thomas Roemer, Sr and Kathryn Clarke and his stepfather Jay Coy; devoted father/father-in-law of Bruce and Jackie Roemer, Tony and Marty Roemer, Mike and Kim Roemer, Kathy and Roland Miller, and Luz Roemer; cherished grandfather/grandfather-in-law of Jennifer and Bryce McGovern, Josh Roemer, Terra and AJ Gegg, Olivia Roemer, Hannah Roemer, Rob and Elise Roemer, Nick and Stephanie Roemer, Amanda and Kirby Hoyte, Leah and Eric Hirsch, Shane and Rachael Roemer, Dillon Roemer, Becky and Jeff Kirby, Paul and Carmen Ainsley, and Eli Miller; treasured great-grandfather of Preston, Chloe, Clark, Brandon, Aidan, Addison, Brynn, Samantha, Amelia, Nate, Natalie, Adalyn, Zoe, Emerson, Lilli, Rayland, Hudson, Mila and Royce. Dear brother to siblings and spouses Jerry and Reba Roemer, Bill and Kathe Roemer, Patsy and Charles Eblen, Elizabeth Susan and Stuart Jordan, and Kay Baganoff. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father and brother, Robert Roemer.
First and foremost, Tom was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and created special memories for each of them that will warm theirs hearts and guide their lives forever. He was a retired Marine. His patriotism was so strong that all four of his children defended the Constitution, American flag and protected the country he loved so dearly by serving in the Armed Forces. He lived life to its fullest as an avid bowler, fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He was a hard worker and he was very proud of his work in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Department at McDonnell Douglas and as Senior Engineer for Emerson Electric, working in the Design and Manufacturing of Avionic Equipment for the Defense Department.
Tom was a member of the Marine Corp League, American Legion, and John Burch Society.
