Thomas R. Lamkie

Lamkie, Thomas R., of Dardenne Prairie, MO, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 53 years to Wanda Lamkie; cherished son of the late Edward and Janice Lamkie; devoted father of Jill (Bryant) Morlan, Edward (Julie) Lamkie, Jennifer (Matt) Pitti, and Julie (Tim) Seifried; loving grandfather of Brittany Morlan, Joe Murray, Jonathan Murray, Tierney Morlan, Katie Lamkie, Nick Lamkie, Sam Lamkie, Timmy Seifried, and Lainey Seifried; treasured great-grandfather of Kahlia Vaughn and Lily Murray; and dear brother-in-law of Dr. Ronald Burt, Doris Straley, and Lorraine Lambert. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Hutchens and his brother, Jerry Lamkie.

Tom proudly served his country in the Army Reserves for 8 years, and was a proud and active member of the Elevator Constructors Union Local #3 for 46 years. He was an avid fan of the Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and visiting his property in Sullivan, MO. Most of all, Tom loved watching and playing with his grandchildren. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
