Thomas P. “Tom” Gay

Gay, Thomas P. “Tom” of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of Bossier City, LA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the age of 64 from congestive heart failure.

He was a devoted father to Tristina Phelps and husband Tony, and Jason Gay and wife Kelly.  Tom was an extremely proud grandfather of Zach Phelps and Cody Phelps.  He is survived by many other family and friends, including his sister Donna Christensen; brother-in-law Dale Wilson and wife Jan; brother-in-law Charlie Wilson and wife Anne; and father-in-law Charles F. Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Terri; his brother Bob; his parents Wilfred Preston and Patricia Gay; and his mother-in-law Shirley Wilson.

Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 22 years.  He was an easy-going and hardworking guy.  He loved exploring the countries that his career took him to but the beach was his favorite place.  Tom had a passion for music and was quite the musician back in his younger years.  He was also very artistic and skillful with his tools.  Tom was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

A limb has fallen from our family tree that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter and the song, and most of all the good life I lived while I was strong.

Memorials may be made to the USO.

A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date.
