Theresa Ann “Terry” Brown Raglin was born March 27, 1943 in Peoria, IL to William G. and Chrystal Krueger Brown. She attended schools in Minier and Armington, IL, where she excelled in vocal and instrumental music, winning state honors in both. During high school, she worked as a counselor in summer camps and children’s homes in Missouri and Pennsylvania. She graduated from Lincoln College with a degree in drama and directed little theatre groups in the St. Louis area. Terry worked for Harper Row Publishing in Chicago, and as an accountant and buyer for several firms in the St. Louis area, before retiring in 2005. Although she faced many health challenges, Terry met them with great courage and an unrivaled sense of humor. She loved all dogs, especially her faithful companions, JC, her assistance dog and Abbie, a star in her own right. Surviving are her son Scott (Cheryl) Taplin of Oglesby, IL, granddaughter Tara Eatherton and great-grandchildren, Trent and Alice, of Wildwood, FL; sister, Marcia (Jerry) Popp of Omaha, NE; niece Debbie James (Joel) of St. Louis; nephew Tadd Pullin of Houston, TX; great-niece Haley Pullin of Albany, NY; sister Betty Reynolds of Neptune, NJ; and brother Don Sinn (Judy) of Mundelein, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
