Steven W. Case

May 20, 1963 — July 15, 2018

Sgt. Steven W. Case of Foristell, MO, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, at the age of 55.  Loving son of James and Kay Case; devoted father of Matthew Case and Kevin Case; cherished brother of Cheryl (Brian) Livingston; dearest love of Juley White; and treasured uncle of Aaron Livingston.  Steven is also survived by the mother of his children Angela Niedringhaus Case.  He was dear nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend to many.

Steve began his career in law enforcement at a very young age, starting when he gave his mother a ticket at church; he was about six years old.  He dedicated almost 30 years to law enforcement with the St. Charles County Police Department.  He held many titles including Bomb Squad Commander, Range Master, and instructor and mentor for many disciplines.  He found great joy in mentoring those who joined the force, and devoted much time and energy to the team and protecting the public.

As a personal mission, Steve initiated the program Care Trak Systems in St. Charles County, which provides protection and safety for those with special needs.  He traveled around the country training and teaching members of other police departments to enforce the program in their areas.

Steven enjoyed making people laugh with his sarcastic sense of humor, and spent many moments bringing laughter into his sons’ lives.  When he was not serving the public, he was volunteering his time with his son’s Boy Scout Troop #853 or Autism Speaks.  To relax, he enjoyed the St. Louis Blues, and as the most dedicated fan, he never missed a game.  Steven was dearly loved and respected in the community as well at home.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorials may be made to BackStoppers or Autism Speaks.
