Sophia F. Steinhoff

Steinhoff, Sophia F., (nee: Echele), of St. Charles, MO, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Eugene Steinhoff; beloved daughter of the late Peter and Minette Echele; devoted mother of Keith (Donna) Steinhoff, Brenda (Terry) Hollander, Gary Steinhoff, and Randal (Trish) Steinhoff; cherished grandmother of Nicole (Mike) Schneider, Lisa (Keith) Mangles, Patrick (Marissa) Steinhoff, Blake (Trisha) Hollander, Kirk Hollander, Leigh Ann Hollander, Taylor (Stephanie) Steinhoff, Drew (Emily) Steinhoff, and Lauren Steinhoff; treasured great-grandmother of 12; dear sister of Beulah (the late Erich) Ehlmann, Geraldine (the late Mel) Plackemeier, Les (Rosalee) Echele; dear sister-in-law of Les (Esther) Steinhoff, and Betty (the late Orville) Echele. She was also a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Catherine Zimmer, Orville Echele, Hubert Echele, and Berdell Eilers, and her great-granddaughter Paige Steinhoff.

Sophia worked at First Capitol St. Charles Trading Post for over 30 years. Mostly, Sophia loved being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
