Sonja Allen (nee Aldridge), of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the age of 79. Loving wife of 59 wonderful years to Lyle Allen, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Newton J. and Genevieve L. Aldridge; devoted mother of Lyle (Larry Oliver) Allen, Jr., Brad Adam (Darla) Allen, and Julie Suzanne (Rick) Rodriguez; proud grandmother of Kevin (Kathryn) Knocke, Jr., Maxwell (Beth) Knocke, Theodore Knocke, and Faith Knocke; and dear sister of Ed (Linda) Alridge. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Toby.
Sonja was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She belonged to Cornerstone United Methodist Church, and was an active member of their Prayer Chain. Sonja enjoyed traveling to warm places each winter, but nothing brought her as much joy as taking care of her beloved children and grandchildren. Sonja was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
