Rosemary Irene McMenamy, 90, of St. Peters, MO, went to be with the lord and past loved ones on April 12, 2019, surrounded by her family. Rosemary was born July 9, 1928 to George and Rose Burgmeyer. She was loved by family, friends and nursing staff at John Knox Village. She was known as “Grams” to all her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Rosemary always had a smile on her face. She loved all animals, especially her 6 great grand dogs that loved to visit her. Rosemary married to Kevin McMenamy on June 29, 1946. Rosemary is survived by her children Jude (David) Engle, Stephen (Helen) McMenamy, Wanda (Robert) Bourdlais, eight grandchildren Kimberly, Timothy, Bridget, Shannon, Kellie, Michael, Jason, and Heather, 14 great-grandchildren Jarred, Brandon, Breanna, Conor, Nicholas, Liam, McKenna, Kamille, Abbigal, Emma, Cole, Kamber, Logan, and McKenzie, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband Kevin McMenamy, two sons Michael and Kevin McMenamy, and two grandchildren Chad McMenamy and Danielle Bourdlais.
Rosemary retired from the Fort Zumwalt school district. She was a cafeteria aid, she had many roles but she was well known as the “baker”. Rosemary had many hobbies she loved quilting; embroidering, cooking and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
