Roger Lee Fredrick, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 77 on Thursday, January 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Wilma Fredrick of Vandalia, IL.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 45 years, Ann Fredrick; children, Terri Fredrick (Matthew Burack), Matthew (Sarah) Fredrick, Neil (Elizabeth) Fredrick, and Dan Brower; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Tesla, Oliver, Thomas, Evelyn, and Christopher; and a raucous bunch of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, whom he loved very much, even though they are Mizzou fans.
Roger earned degrees from the University of Illinois before working for 30 years as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He then worked as a consultant for the Air Force for ten years. Roger was an active member of Assumption Parish in O’Fallon, MO, where he had served as a member of the parish council and RCIA team.
In retirement, Roger loved traveling with Ann and planning quests and other adventures for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, recently cheering the Blues to the Stanley Cup and his granddaughter to her first goal in kindergarten soccer. He was the best husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle in the world, and we will miss him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s name may be made to
BackStoppers or to the Assumption Church Building Fund.
