Roger Edgar “Linden”
December 27, 1924 — October 6, 2016
Edgar, Roger “Linden” of Saint Charles, MO, passed on Thursday October 6, 2016, at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Regina C. Edgar; devoted father of Jean (Edward) Szoko and Maureen Ward; dear brother of Barrie Edgar; Cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Scott) Meyer, Michael Szoko (Sarah Wood), Nicholas Szoko, Joseph (Anne) Ward, Andrea (Roy) Hong, Jennifer (Jason) Hackler, Dean (Laura) O'Hara, and Colleen Murphy and treasured great-grandfather of 10. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Barry Edgar.
Roger worked for many years at General Cable, but found his joie de vivre in all things related to magic. In his early years, he and his wife performed together. His lifelong love of magic was surpassed only by his devotion to family. He was a member in the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Society of American Magicians. Roger proudly served with the United States Army during World War II. He was loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
