Robert retired as Senior Master Sergeant after 22 years in the United States Air Force, serving our country during the Korean and Vietnam war. He later retired from Ameren UE in Saint Louis, MO. Robert was a member of the O'Fallon American Legion Post 388, the St. Charles Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), the O’Fallon Planning & Zoning Committee, and Assumption Parish of O’Fallon. Robert selflessly volunteered his time with the American Legion Honor Guard to serve at military funerals including 200 funerals in 2011, 408 in 2014, and 606 in 2016. For fun, Robert was fond of reading, gardening, and playing cards with his wife and friends. He loved to relax whenever he could. Robert was a traveler and he always cherished the exciting trips he’d take with his loved ones and the memories they made along the way. Some of his favorite places to travel with his kids were the national parks.

Above everything, Robert was a loving family man. He was very present in his family’s lives and he took pride in being someone they could always rely on. Robert was a true gentleman – mild mannered, thoughtful, and well-bred. He was a great man who made sure his family was taken care of at all times. He went above and beyond and always took care of business. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this difficult time. There will be a private family mass and burial service. Robert will be laid to rest in eternal peace with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
