Robert L. McBride

Robert L. McBride of Saint Peters, MO, formerly of Detroit, MI, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at the age of 82. Loving husband of 61 years to Beverly McBride; beloved son of the late Robert and Eileen McBride; devoted father of Timothy (Dan) McBride, Kathleen (Gary) Bottger, Kevin (Kimberly) McBride, Maura (Michael) McDonald, and the late Bobby McBride; cherished grandfather of Jessie, Allie, Joshua, Ryan, Kyle, Claire, Erin, and Andrew; treasured great-grandfather of Carleigh; dear brother of the late Kathleen "Kay" Sheere; and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.

Bob retired after more than 44 years as a successful Entrepreneur in Detroit. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Brighton, MI.  He loved boating, reading, and volunteering at church.  While his children were growing up, he was very involved with their scouting troops. Bob was a founding member of “The Early Birds” at the Livonia and Farmington Hills, Michigan YMCAs.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Brighton, Michigan, Friday October 13, 2017 at 11:00 am, with a gathering prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following services will be a luncheon.
