Robert "Bob" James Polster, 71, of Lake St. Louis, MO was called to heaven on Monday, February 24th. He passed comfortably in his sleep at home surrounded by family. He braved a two year battle with kidney cancer but was ultimately called home, too soon. He was a retired Graphic Engineer at McDonnell Douglas, Emerson Electric and BioMerieux Inc. Bob was many things to many people. He was an avid outdoorsman where he loved fishing, canoeing, camping, & "going down to the country" to hunt on his property in Steeleville, MO. He also really enjoyed bbqing and traveling with his wife, Sharon. Above all else, Bob was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife Sharon K. Polster; his sister, Sharon A. Polster; son, Jeffrey Polster (Cyndi) and daughter, Tiffany Bradley (William), his stepsons, Brian Hall (Susan Ratz-Hall) and Jeff Dumm. "Grandpa Bob" is also survived by eight grandchildren: Mackenzie Gebben-Goodrich (Ben) Cameron Gebben, Emerson Bradley, Parker Bradley, Nicolas Polster, Reid Hall, Gabriella Ratz, and Mariah Gabrielli.
Bob touched the lives of many, bringing joy and lots of laughter. He'll be truly missed.
Thank you to so many for your continued prayers and support during this difficult time.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Bob's honor to the
American Kidney Fund.
