Robert “Bob” Eugene Potter

Robert “Bob” Eugene Potter of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Potter; cherished son of the late Tolman and Wilma Potter; devoted father of Gregory (Vivian) Potter, Gary (Victoria) Potter, and son-in-law Jackson Hepler; loving grandfather of Brad (Stephanie) Potter, Christopher (Jennifer) Potter, Jason Potter, and Aaron (Stacey) Potter; treasured great-grandfather of Ethan, Charlotte, and Jack; dear brother of Ann Spires; and life-long special friend of Mary Evans.

Robert is preceded in death by daughter Denise Potter-Hepler.

Robert served proudly as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then became an engineer and worked 31 years in the construction field before retiring. Robert belonged to the Operating Engineers Local 513 and was a Mason. He had a sharp memory and enjoyed watching stock car racing, working with computers, welding, and had an interest in rocketry; Robert even built homemade rockets. He enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers. He was especially fond of a good burger and a cup of coffee. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his funny quick-witted quotes about life. He leaves numerous cherished memories which will live on in the hearts of many.
