Rita C. Bovinett

Rita C. Bovinett of Dellwood, MO, passed away at the age of 86 on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Rose Naes; and her sister, Joan (Jim) Boyer.

Rita is survived by her children, Donald (Vickie) Bovinett, Thomas (Felicia) Bovinett, Karen (Chris) Carey, and Carol (Dale) Ley; her fourteen grandchildren and their spouses; her thirty great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jude (the late Dolly) Naes.

Rita retired as a police officer from the Dellwood Police Department and had the distinction of being one of the first female officers to serve in the St. Louis area. She also served as President of M.A.C.A. and was a faithful member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Rita’s name may be made to Backstoppers or the Humane Society of St. Louis.
