Richard J. Lampe

Richard J. Lampe of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away at the age of 83 on Friday, June 25, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Augusta Lampe; and his siblings, Mary "Gigi" Agnes Andresen and Arthur Lampe.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Lampe; his children, Richard J. (Meghan) Lampe Jr. and Andrew (Kendra) Lampe; his stepchildren, Denise (Michael) McLaurin and Rachel (Jonathan) Lowe; his grandchildren, Ryleigh Lampe, Rydon Lampe, Reagan Lampe, James Lampe, Chelsea McLaurin, Ian McLaurin, Liam McLaurin, Nina Lowe, and Dashiell Lowe; and his siblings, Frank Lampe, Ron Lampe, and Peggy (Gary) Cobb.

Richard worked for the Union Pacific railroad and enjoyed a successful career there for thirty-five years. Lake Michigan was near and dear to his heart and he treasured all the time he spent there. For fun, Richard liked to get out on the golf course as much as he could and built model ships. He truly lived every moment like he was John Wayne. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
