Rev. Robert Vernon Montgomery

Rev. Robert Vernon Montgomery of Winfield, MO, passed away at the age of 63 on Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eva Montgomery; and his sister, Margaret Houston.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joyce Montgomery; his children, Eve (Cody) Stipes and Joel Montgomery; his grandson, Spencer Stipes, and yet-to-be named twin grandchildren expected in May.
Rob touched many lives as a pastor through his work at different churches in New Brunswick, (Canada), Virginia, New York, Indiana, and Missouri. His faith was steadfast and he and Joyce worshipped at First Baptist Church in O’Fallon, MO, for the past 11 years. He also spent 5 years as an associate pastor there. In his free time, Rob enjoyed playing the guitar and writing songs. He loved spending time with his family most of all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rob name may be made to First Baptist Church O’Fallon’s Missions Fund.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 all visitations and services will be private. Thank you for your understanding.
