Regina “Gina” Malawey Currall
To know Gina is to appreciate the technicolor quilt of her life.
Gina was strong. She sought, pursued and was committed to real relationships with family, friends and strangers. She loved loving and the joy and peace she gave and got from others.
These are some of the threads that are examples of how she practiced living:
- worked with orphans in Korea and with children with cerebral palsy in India,
- sponsored education of a girl in Bolivia through her Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
- active participant to the local food pantry of each place she has lived, including providing articles of support for care givers,
- authentic, bawdy, passionately out-spoken with a quick wit and a gentle turn of phrase,
- gathered “shoe boxes” for the Christmas Child Program annually
- aficionado of sparkly things and children’s laughter,
- master craftswoman on quilts, knitting, crocheting, sewing of all kinds, stained glass, and holiday décor
- committed to support friends and family in military service particularly when they were deployed
- zest for adventure and travel to see the world
She always recognized that we unite as co-creators and engage with deliberate intention to share good in the world.
Memorials may be made to a local food pantry of the donor's choice.
