Raymond R. Chaffee

Raymond R. Chaffee, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the age of 90.  Beloved husband of Ellen M. Chaffee; cherished son of the late Myron and Marie Chaffee; devoted father of Paul (Bonnie) Chaffee, Judy (the late Dean) Lammering, Dorothy (Wayne) Baker, and Tom (Karen) Chaffee; loving grandfather of Staci (Bryan) Lammering-Ray, Bailey Lammering, Renny Lammering, Kristin Chaffee, Bill Chaffee, and Natalie Chaffee; dear brother of Tom (Gayle) Chaffee, Pat Chaffee, and the late Charles Chaffee; and cherished brother-in-law of Jackie Chaffee.

Raymond was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO, and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Racine, WI and Longville, MN.  As the owner of Industrial Electric Motor Co., he was self-employed for 13 years in Racine, WI.  He retired after 20 years in sales and management with Complete Reading Electric Co., which was headquartered in Chicago.  He worked for Complete Reading in Racine, Davenport, Kansas City, and Minneapolis.  In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and photography.  He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
