Peter J. Nigra

Peter James Nigra, of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 59 years to Beverley Jo Nigra; cherished son of the late Peter John and Rose Marie Nigra; devoted father of Julie (Mark) Hoerman and Jim Nigra; loving grandfather of Jason Hoerman, Derek Hoerman, and Alicia Hoerman; and dear brother-in-law of Tom (Doris) Leach and Lois Schriver.

Peter proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He also worked for Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas Corporation) in St Louis as an electronic engineer for 31 years (1960 – 1991). He loved traveling in his RV with his wife. Some of their favorite destinations were Rocky Mountain National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Peter always had a project to work on. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, painting cars, photography, and working in his yard. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Peter was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
