Norbert H. Dreisewerd of Wentzville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Loretta C. Dreisewerd; parents, John and Cecilia Dreisewerd (nee Witte); nine brothers and sisters; son-in-law, Kenneth Stevener; and his loving companion, Agnes Deubner.
Norbert is survived by his children, Denise Stevener, Gary Dreisewerd, Randy Dreisewerd, Sandy (Ted) Gouge, Jeff (Kim) Dreisewerd and; his grandchildren, Travis (Fiancée Ana) Stevener, Adam (Megan) Stevener, Stacy Dreisewerd, Ryan (Angie) Dreisewerd, Kyle Gouge, Tyler Gouge, Dana (Patrick) Hodges, and Kristy (Colton) Potts; his great-grandchildren, Autumn, Raegan, June, Ava, Kolton, Kaiden, Jerrick, Nicklaus, Bennett, Collin, Wade, and Lee.
Norbert was born and raised in Cottleville, Missouri and was a proud retired Union Carpenter. He was a devout catholic and a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville. He proudly served his country as Sergeant First Class in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was awarded a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Wharang Distinguished Service Medal for his honorable and heroic service. In his younger years, Norbert enjoyed cars, playing guitar, farming, and gardening. He also had various artistic talents. Norbert & Loretta each had large extended families, which made for wonderful family gatherings on both sides. He loved everyone dearly. Norbert will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
