Nicholas O'Toole of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away at the age of 21 on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Loving son of Jill and Ken O’Toole; cherished brother of Autumn Spatafora, Samantha (Cory) Thomas, and Haylie O'Toole; dearest grandson of Joan (the late Roy) Laramie; dear uncle of Milana Thomas, Alyna Tucker, Macy Tucker, and Ivory Tucker; beloved nephew of Patrice (Dan) Harkins, Lisa Gowen, and Jennifer (Tim) Stabenow.
Nicholas was always a free spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum. His love for his family was both amazing and endless, and, as a proud uncle, he truly enjoyed spending time with his nieces. He knew he had the best mom ever and loved her fiercely, and his dad was the best man he could always look up to. Sharing days with his grandma was something Nicholas always looked forward to. Growing up, Nicholas was a loving handful for his parents, where his obsession with vacuum cleaners and wearing bowties brought much amusement to them.
Nicholas’s kind heart made it so he was always looking out for the underdog, and fighting against injustice wherever he saw it. He had the sort of selfless personality where he would give his time and effort whenever he could help. Riding skateboards, BMX biking, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends were all things that Nicholas enjoyed in his younger years. He was loved greatly and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nicholas’s memory to the
Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery.
