Nell M. Kirchner nee: Schwendemann, of St. Peters, MO, Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Frank Kirchner; cherished daughter of the late Michael and Irene Schwendemann; devoted mother of Janice (Ron) Ohmes of Lake of the Ozarks, Dale (Shari) Kirchner of Lake St. Louis, Yvonne (Tom) Rocco of Chesterfield, and Colleen (Chad) Seymour of Scottsdale, AZ; dear sister of Olive M. Alexander, Violet Kruse, and Aleta Vossenkemper. Nell is preceded in death by her siblings two brothers and five sisters.
Nell, alongside her husband, Frank, founded Kirchner Concrete Products Company. Nell was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church, volunteered for more than 20 years with Birthright, as well as with St. Vincent de Paul & Legion of Mary in earlier years; and enjoyed gardening, reading, and travel.
Love of family and friends was the focus of Nell’s life. Her consistently positive attitude, sense of humor, generosity, and wonderful smile were lifetime gifts to all who knew her. Nell’s quiet courage, determination and acceptance of God’s Will are her legacy. Nell will be missed especially by her children, her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her sisters.
Nell’s life will be celebrated as follows: Visitation will be Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 3:00pm to 6:00 pm at Baue Funeral Home and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles; Memorial Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, 7 McMenamy Road on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 10:00 am; Burial following at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Cemetery.
