Michael Joseph Gowatch

Michael Joseph Gowatch, of Saint Peters, MO, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Monday, December 3, 2018, at the age of 66. Loving husband of Debbie Gowatch; beloved son of the late Vito E. and Arlene Gowatch; beloved son-in-law of the late Larry and Carol Housman; dear brother of Suzanne (Ray) Rickert, Toni (Joe) McGarry, Marianne Rodriquez; brother-in-law of Linda Housman; cherished uncle of Michelle (Jon) Foster and Ben (Katy Wilkinson) Rickert; great uncle of Ryne Foster. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends. Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Gowatch; brother-in-law, Otto Rodriquez, and niece, Janine Rodriquez.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired after many years of service from Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Services. Michael loved football, horse racing, watching the news, and war movies. He had a very giving heart and was someone who could be counted on. Michael taught many people great life lessons. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will meet at Baue Cave Springs at 1:oo p.m. to process to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for Graveside.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to the Animal Welfare Institute or the Missouri Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary.
