Mary R Monte

Mary Rose Monte passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Wednesday, October 19th, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Phil J. Monte; daughter of the late Tony and Caroline Viviano; beloved mother of Phil G. Monte (Anita), and JoAnn Tyra-Imhoff (Mike). Loving Nana of Sonia and Marlena Monte, and Kacey and John Tyra. Beloved sister of Felicia Busalacki, and the late Rose Marie LoDuca. Dear Sister-in-law, Aunt, Godmother, cousin, and friend to many.

Mary was a caring person, always reaching out when someone needed a friend or a good bite of her delicious Italian cooking. She found joy in helping others. Mary loved to dance and was a member of the old Merry Maker Tuesday night dance at the Savoy in Ferguson, MO. Mary and her husband, Phil, enjoyed operating a stand at Soulard Market for over 50 years. They were married 53 years when Phil passed away on July 10, 2003.
