Mary Lou Laskowitz

Mary Lou Laskowitz, (nee: Taylor) of O Fallon, MO, fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the age of 91, just shy of her 92^nd birthday. Loving wife of William Laskowitz of almost 73 years; devoted mother of Karen (Michael) Venturella, Patricia (Lawrence) Elko, Joan (Gary) Perotti, Terry Kammermeyer, and Cathy (Bob) Heimberger; cherished grandmother of Michael (Marie) Venturella Jr., Timothy (Michele) Venturella, Nicholas (Lori) Venturella, Amy (Kevin) Hogan, Joseph Elko, Angela (Nick) Dunning, Maria (Tim Vickers) Perotti, Thomas (Lauren) Perotti, Jessica Daniels, Kayla (Jacob) Eppel, Kara Kammermeyer, Taylor and Wil Heimberger; treasured great-grandmother of Maria Venturella, Ava and Joseph Venturella, Luke and Cole Venturella, Daniel and Nora Hogan, Clara and Brinley Dunning, and Murphy Perotti. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Branson; stepfather, Hadley Branson; sister, Ramona Gross and her brother, Charles Taylor. Dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many, including dear friend, Lorraine Thorn. Mary Lou will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.




Mary Lou was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was sweet and dignified. Mary Lou was a dedicated member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Riverview Gardens and most recently of St. Barnabas the Apostle Church in O’Fallon. She was a dedicated volunteer in the Ladies Club, Garden Club and Girl Scouts.




She enjoyed reading, working, crossword puzzles, playing cards, sewing, quilting, and crocheting.




In lieu of flowers and in support of Mary Lou’s love of reading and the library, memorial donations in Mary Lou’s name may be made to the St. Louis Public Library.
