Mary Ellen Hill

Mary Ellen Hill (nee Jaas), of Chesterfield, MO, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Edward Hill; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Jaas; devoted mother of Edward (Kate) Hill, Jr., Steven Hill, Marilyn (James) Volmert, Suzanne (David) Colvin, Carolyn (Bruce) Kusmin, Barbara (Kerry) Meyer, David (Tina) Hill, Chris (Jane) Hill and the late Kathleen Hill; loving grandmother of John (Debbie) Hill, Julie (Jeff) Bertel, Laura (Mark) Hotz, Chrissy (Whit) Rogers, Tommy (Jenny) Hill, Dawn Volmert, James (Megan) Volmert, Ryan (Tom) Kusmin, Caylin (Robert) Britton, Daniel (Shea) Kusmin, Drew Hill, Ben Meyer, Grace Hill, and Auggie Hill; treasured great-grandmother of 19; dear sister of the late Frances Spratt and Emil Jaas; Mary was a beloved aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Mary was a 55-year member of Incarnate Word Parish in Chesterfield. She was very artistic, she loved to draw and paint and was very passionate about her art work. Mary liked walking, gardening, volunteering for St. Luke’s and tutoring children on reading. She always had a great sense of humor and could light up a room. Above all she adored children and spending time with her family. Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Mary's name to St Jude's Children’s Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
