Marvin J. Wilmesherr

Marvin J. Wilmesherr of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 91 on Thursday, December 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Thelma Wilmesherr; his parents, Oscar and Rose Wilmesherr; his siblings, Tuggles Wilmesherr and Janet Gerling.
He is survived by his children, Judith (Rodney) Hillis, Stanley (Diana) Wilmesherr, and James Wilmesherr; his grandchildren, Tim Hillis and Kris (Chewy) Ibarra; and his great-grandchildren.
Marvin proudly served in the United States Armed Forces and was a Navy veteran. He was a retired mechanic and member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local 777, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 388 in O’Fallon, Missouri. Marvin was a parishioner at Living Lord Lutheran Church. Friends and family will remember Marvin as a man who liked to bowl, play volleyball, and watch Cardinals baseball. Marvin was always known as warm and friendly with an outgoing personality. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
