Marjorie Frances Kayler (nee Hartman), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday September 23, 2017 with a smile on her face, at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Robert E. Kayler, who passed away on September 24, 2015; beloved daughter of the late Alfred Henry, Jr. and Irene Pearl Hartman; devoted mother of Wendy (Kyle) Knight, Kyle (Christine) Kayler, Adam (Teresa) Kayler, and Beth (the late David) Revis; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Matt) Rutherford, Amy (Luke) Gleaves, Christopher (Alesha) Kayler, Jacob Kayler, Sarah Kayler, Ryan (Ashley) Revis, and Kacey (Neil) Elson, 10 Great-Grandchildren; dear sister of Marilyn (Robert) Carson.
Marjorie knew and loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was very active in church. She had a quick smile and a contagious laugh. She always made strangers feel like friends. Marjorie was energetic, adventurous, and bold. She was interested in learning about everything. Marjorie appreciated the fine arts and imparted those qualities to her children. She was the only stroke patient in the hospital who had to be told to stop laughing because the nurses couldn’t stop laughing and weren’t getting their work done. She started and operated many businesses with a true entrepreneurial spirit. Marjorie loved dogs, reading, and traveling but loved her children most of all. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
