Marilyn was full of faith and love for her family. She was a faithful and devoted member of Harvester Christian Church where she participated in weekly bible studies and was a passionate follower of Christ. Marilyn loved to sing and in her younger years, sang in the Kirkwood chapter of Sweet Adelines and participated in many quartets. In her later years, Marilyn sang in the church choir. She instilled her love of music to her children who followed her footsteps, singing at different events and extending to many of her grandchildren.

Marilyn was a proud owner of The Mustard Seed Daycare Center in Saint Charles, Missouri. She later worked for Western Union and retired after ten years as an accounting clerk. She enjoyed cooking and camping with her family and traveling with her husband in later years. Most of all, family was her main priority and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
