Buehrle, Marie (nee: Aubuchon), of O'Fallon, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the age of 61. Daughter of the late Stephen (Nita) Aubuchon; loving mother of Christy (Russ) Blevins, Dennis (Julie) Buehrle and Theresa Charles; proud grandmother of three, Ashleigh, Kendall and Katie; sister of Anita (Dan) Marquitz, Nancy Alagna, Steve (Sandy) Aubuchon, John (Sharon) Aubuchon, Ron Aubuchon, Jim (Janet) Aubuchon, Richard (Lori) Aubuchon, and Therese (Dave) Loeffler. Marie was also an aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Marie was an amazing woman who loved so many different things. Back in her earlier days she enjoyed crocheting, early Saturday morning garage sales, and bowling to mention a few, then moved on to collecting coins for the grandchildren and scrapbooking. But she loved nothing more than her grandchildren. They were what brought her joy and happiness. Second to her grandchildren was her love for the Irish traditions and Holiday. St. Patrick’s Day seemed to be more important than her own birthday. If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing her in her full garb on St. Patrick’s Day, “her modern take on a Leprechaun,” you would completely agree. We should feel comfort for every shamrock we see, she is now planting them everywhere for us. Marie also greatly enjoyed the community she resided in, where she lived with her little dog, played Bingo, and gained many new friends. Not to mention the many years of scavenging through the community for the next addition to her Beanie Baby collection, which years later she donated several hundred to the Crisis Nursery in St. Charles. Anyone who knew Marie knew she always had a Dr. Pepper in hand, loved her sweets, especially chocolate, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heart Association of St. Louis.
