Lucille N. “Lou” Swanston (nee Haps) of Saint Peters, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Joseph R. Swanston; beloved daughter of the late Lester John and Madeline Haps; devoted mother of Robert Dennis (Barbara) Swanston, Terri C. (Elvan Allred) Swanston, Joan V. Swanston, and James D (Kina) Swanston; cherished grandmother of Sara Barker, Matt Swanston, Andy Feldmann, Lauren Berg, and Emily Andrieu; treasured great-grandmother of Zoe Barker, Reese Barker, Evan Feldmann, Tim Feldmann, and Piper Berg. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Haps.
Lucille volunteered with the USO, and enjoyed crafting, quilting, playing cards, and scrabble in her free time. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
