Lucille JoAnn Vaughan (Wirtzberger) of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away at the age of 80 on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Lucille was Born May 14, 1938 in Crosby, North Dakota to Hubert Charles and Blanche Sophia Wirtzberger. She was raised in Westby, Montana where she was active in school activities such as cheerleading and band. After graduating Westby High School, she moved to Great Falls, Montana where she met and later married James Wright Vaughan Jr in Oklahoma City in 1958 where she lived for over 54 years.
Besides being a devoted mother, advocate for family, and a devout catholic. She enjoyed exercising, playing cards, singing and weekend social activities especially dancing and shows. She also volunteered her time at St. Anthony’s hospital and was involved in local Toastmaster Club. In recent years, she relocated to Lake St. Louis, Missouri, to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her dear parents Hubert Charles Wirtzberger and Blanche Sophia Wirtzberger; her 2 sisters, Vivian Wirtzberger, Shirley Anderson, and her two brothers, Wallace and Dennis Wirtzberger.
Lucille is survived by her five children: Angela Janel Redensek, Michael James Vaughan, Christopher Charles Vaughan (Lisa), James Wright Vaughan III (Anabelig “Anita”), Rona JoAnn Davis (David); her 20 grandchildren, William Boyd Robertson, Jr.(Aubrey), Benjamin Joseph Robertson (Jennifer), Veronika Janel Redensek, Vanessa Katrina Redensek, Joshua Jacob Redensek, Jessica Violet Redensek, Katrina Dale Parsley, Michael James Vaughan II, Mikayla Jamie Vaughan, Brittany Crystal Meyer (Kevin), Hayley Brooke Cichacki (Mike), Nicholas Jefferson Branson, Chayse Michele Vaughan, Ava Sue Vaughan, Justin Mathew Vaughan, Zachary Richard Vaughan, Carlos Manuel Barbery, Jerika Blanche Mallinson (Andrew), Keeton Vaughan Davis, Kamber LeAnn Davis; ten great-grandchildren and two sisters: Emily Neilson (Gordon) and Loretta Anderson.
Lucille cherished time with her family and traveling with friends and relatives whom she loved very much. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
