Lorraine Florence Rothermich

Lorraine Florence Rothermich (nee Stewart), of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Paul Rothermich; beloved daughter of Charles and Bernadine Stewart; devoted mother of Larry (Patty) Rothermich, Paula Cobb, Mary (Dennis) Goeke, Nancy Rothermich, and Vicki (Duane) Spencer; cherished grandmother of Cory Rothermich, Lindsay Rothermich, Ashley (JD) Rottler, David Cobb, Daniel Goeke, Kyle (Jennifer) Goeke, Christian (Amber) Goeke, Chelsea Krenning, Joshua Krenning, Kelsey Spencer, Reid Spencer, and Taylor Spencer; treasured great-grandmother of Chase, Charley, and Eleanor; dear sister of Gerald (Ethel) Stewart; sister-in-law of Gerald Rothermich. Lorraine is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Hubert Stewart, Herbert Stewart; and sister, Anna Mae Rayfield.

Early in life, Lorraine was a beautician.  After having children, she became a full-time homemaker and later assumed the role of secretary for Craft Electric, her husband’s business.  She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Parish, St. Francis Ladies Sodality, and the Orchard Farm VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Lorraine cared deeply for her family and friends.  For many years, she was a member of a bowling team, a golf league, and a poker group. She also enjoyed sewing, making crafts, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her house was festively decorated inside and out for every holiday.  Lorraine took great pride in having a beautiful yard with lots of flowers.  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Memorials may be made in Lorraine's name to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Catholic Parish in Portage Des Souix.
