Lonnie Luesse
June 27, 1954 — May 16, 2020
Lonnie Luesse, of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away at the age of 65 on Saturday, May 16, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Jane Luesse; and his sister, Connie Connor.
Lonnie is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Luesse; his children, Sarah (Bill) Daugherty and Lance (Sarah) Luesse; his grandchildren, Mason Luesse, Evan Daugherty, Molly Daugherty, Ruby Luesse, and Nina Scott; his sisters, Barbara (Clem) Echele and Karen (Alan) Burckhardt; and his uncles, Mark (D' Ann) Gentemann, Greg (Marilyn) Gentemann, and Ray Tubbesing.
Lonnie was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Portage Des Sioux. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending his days fishing or duck hunting whenever he could. Sports played an important role in Lonnie’s life with his favorite games to watch or play being dartball, bowling, baseball, hockey, and NASCAR. Above everything, Lonnie cherished the time he spent with his friends and family and the memories they all made together over the years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions in Lonnie’s name may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis, or to BJC Hospice.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the Memorial Service will be Private. Thank you for your understanding.
A luncheon will be held at the Luesse residence following the service.
