Lois Pingel of St. Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 78 on Monday, July 29, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eitel and Frieda Mohn.
Lois is survived by her loving husband, Carroll Pingel; her children, Doug (Dana) Pingel, Denise (Michael) Scoffic, and Dora (Scott) Hyslop; her grandchildren, Sarah (Aaron) Stephens, Matthew Pingel, Alex (Andrew) Capestany-Kress, and Nicholas Hyslop; her great-granddaughter, Analee Stephens; her siblings, Jim (Connie) Mohn and Myrna (Jon) Hamann; her sister-in-law, Lila (Don) Beck; Lois was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lorrell (Kathy) Pingel. Lois was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Lois was a registered nurse and worked in the nursing profession for over 35 years. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Charles and she actively volunteered there. She participated in many organizations at the church, including their Ladies Bible Study, Stephen Ministries, the Birthday Club, and the Mother’s Club. Lois was an avid reader, always staying sharp through reading a great book. Friends and family will always remember her as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who showed her faith by the way she lived her life.
