Linda died peacefully surrounded by family at the Mercy Heart Hospital in St. Louis on February 5, 2017.
Linda was born to Anne and Earl Winnegge in Devils Lake, North Dakota on December 29, 1946. She moved with her parents to Tacoma, Washington, then to Tooele, Utah when she was a young child with her older brother, Louis Winnegge. After high school Linda moved to Newberg, New York where she married her second husband Chuck Macchia. They then moved back to Salt Lake City, Utah with their two children, were transferred to Denver, Colorado for work and finally ended up in St. Peters, Missouri.
Linda received her Business Administration Degree in Human Resources from Lindenwood University and retired after working for 14 years for the Hussmann Corporation after which she worked for the Francis Howell school district until the date of her death.
She is survived by her children Raymond Dean (Cheryl) Macchia and Staci Ane (Brad) Gronefeld and her grandchildren Alexandria, Abigail, Christopher, Michael and Andrew, along with several nieces and nephews.
