Garner, Lillian, of Lake St. Louis, MO, formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the age of 100. Beloved daughter of the late Squire and Ella Garner; loving aunt of Donald (Jackie) Garner, the late Doyle (Ruby) Garner, Bob (Karen) Garner, Patty (Gordon) Warren, Connie Garner, and Kay (Harlan) Howerston; Lillian is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Ruby Garner-Vokurka, Joel Garner, Clarence Garner, James W. Garner, and Rose Garner.
Lillian was born and raised in County Line, Arkansas and graduated from high school in Bakersfield, Missouri. She then graduated with a triple major Bachelor's Degree (English, Speech, and History) from Missouri State University. After graduating Lillian resided in Roswell, New Mexico for 60 years and taught at Goddard School for over 45 years. She was a faithful lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a very charitable lady who focused on contributing to Indian reservations and the homeless. Lillian enjoyed traveling, listening to music, the arts, and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
