Leslie “Les” E. Schierding

Leslie "Les" E. Schierding of St. Charles, MO died Friday, August 27, 2021 at the age of 81. Loving and devoted Husband of Gloria A. (Wapelhorst) Schierding for 51 years. Beloved son of the late Elmer and Bernice (Kleinschmidt) Schierding. Brother-in-Law of Thomas N. and Cheryl T. Wapelhorst. Loving uncle of Teresa Wapelhorst, Jennifer (David) Sisom, Christopher Wapelhorst, Michael (Erin) Wapelhorst, Thomas J. Wapelhorst, Daniel Wapelhorst, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Wapelhorst. Treasured great-uncle of Dylan Wright, Katherine and Matthew Sisom, Blakely and Wesley Wapelhorst, Thomas J. Wapelhorst, Jr. Dear cousin of Don and Jean Boden, Dorothy and the late Jim Oliver, Katherine and Jack Kulenkamp, Sue Carol Sepke, Earl and Cecilia Kleinschmidt, Arlene and Dick Dolan.
Les was preceded in death by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Les proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Les worked as a drywall finisher and thoroughly enjoyed Cardinals Baseball. He always had a smile on his face and made everyone laugh with his quick wit.
Les was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Les' name to Immanuel Lutheran Church St. Charles or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
